Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of GentleShe, operated by Iniobong Udoh. By creating an account or using GentleShe, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
GentleShe is intended for adults aged 18 years and above. By using GentleShe, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms.
2. What GentleShe provides
GentleShe provides personal tracking, journaling, organisation and memory-keeping features relating to trying to conceive, pregnancy and postpartum experiences. Features may change, improve or be discontinued as the service evolves.
3. Medical disclaimer
GentleShe is not a medical device or medical service and does not provide diagnosis, treatment or emergency care. You must not rely on GentleShe instead of professional medical advice. Our Medical & Wellness Disclaimer forms part of these Terms.
4. Your account
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your password confidential, protecting access to your device and notifying us if you reasonably believe your account has been compromised.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of diary entries, notes, photographs and other content you submit to GentleShe. You give GentleShe only the limited rights necessary to host, store, process, display and transmit that content in order to provide the service to you.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not use GentleShe for unlawful purposes.
- Do not attempt to access another user’s account or records.
- Do not interfere with, reverse engineer or disrupt the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Do not upload malicious code or content that violates the rights of others.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how GentleShe processes personal information, including sensitive health and reproductive information you choose to provide.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep GentleShe available and reliable, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. We may update, suspend or change features where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance or product development.
9. Account suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, address fraud or abuse, or enforce these Terms. You may stop using GentleShe and request deletion of your account at any time.
10. Account deletion
You may request permanent deletion of your account and associated personal information through the deletion options made available in GentleShe or through our Delete Account page.
11. Intellectual property
GentleShe’s name, branding, interface, original content, software and other materials are owned by or licensed to the operator of GentleShe and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of GentleShe to you.
12. Limitation of responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, GentleShe is provided on an “as available” basis. We are not responsible for medical decisions made in reliance on the app, losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, or indirect or consequential loss where such exclusions are legally permitted. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer, privacy or other laws.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as GentleShe evolves or where legal or platform requirements change. Material changes may be communicated through the app, website or another appropriate method.
