GentleShe is a pregnancy, postpartum and women’s wellness application developed and operated by Udovia Technologies Limited.
We understand that information relating to pregnancy, reproductive health, emotions, personal experiences and wellbeing can be sensitive. We take the privacy of this information seriously.
This Privacy Policy explains what information GentleShe collects, why we collect it, how it is used and stored, the service providers involved in operating GentleShe, and the choices available to you.
This Privacy Policy applies to the GentleShe mobile application, the GentleShe website at https://gentleshe.com, and related GentleShe services.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account or use GentleShe, we may collect information that you provide directly to us.
Account and profile information
This may include your email address, profile information, account preferences and information required to create, authenticate and maintain your GentleShe account.
Pregnancy and postpartum information
Depending on the features you choose to use, this may include pregnancy dates, estimated due dates, baby movement records, symptoms, postpartum information, recovery-related entries and other information you choose to record.
Menstrual, health and wellness information
This may include menstrual cycle information, symptoms, mood check-ins, wellness records and other health-related information that you voluntarily enter into GentleShe.
Appointments, reminders and questions
GentleShe may store appointment dates, reminders, questions you want to discuss with a healthcare professional, notification preferences and other information you choose to save.
Diary entries and milestones
You may choose to record diary entries, personal milestones and other memories relating to your journey.
Photos and voice notes
Where these features are available, you may choose to upload or save photographs and voice notes within GentleShe.
Technical and security information
GentleShe may process technical information necessary to operate the service, authenticate users, maintain security, diagnose errors and troubleshoot technical problems.
You decide whether to use optional tracking features and what optional personal information to enter into GentleShe.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information collected through GentleShe to operate the application and provide the features you choose to use.
This includes creating and maintaining your account, authenticating your identity, displaying your saved information, providing pregnancy and postpartum features, recording symptoms and wellness information, managing reminders and appointments, storing your diary and milestones, responding to support requests and maintaining the security and reliability of the service.
Where applicable law requires a particular legal basis for processing personal information, we process information only where an appropriate legal basis applies, including where processing is necessary to provide the service you requested, where you have given consent, or where processing is necessary for legitimate security, operational or legal purposes.
GentleShe does not provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment or emergency medical services.
Information and features available through GentleShe are intended for tracking, organisation, education and wellness support. They should not replace advice, diagnosis or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional.
3. Health Information and Advertising
GentleShe handles information that may be considered health, reproductive health or wellness information.
We do not sell your private health information.
We do not use your pregnancy, postpartum, menstrual, symptom, mood or other health-related information for targeted or behavioural advertising.
At the effective date of this Privacy Policy, the GentleShe mobile application does not use third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs.
If our use of analytics, advertising technology or other third-party technologies changes in a way that affects how personal information is processed, we will update this Privacy Policy and any required app-store disclosures before such processing is introduced.
4. How We Store and Protect Your Information
GentleShe uses Supabase to support account authentication, database functionality and file storage.
We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information. These measures include authentication controls, account-based access restrictions and restricted access to private user information and personal files.
Personal files intended to be private are stored using access controls designed to prevent one user from accessing another user’s private records.
Information transmitted over the internet is subject to inherent security risks. While we take reasonable measures to protect personal information, no internet-connected service, database or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
5. Photos, Diary Entries and Voice Notes
GentleShe may allow you to save personal photographs, diary entries, milestones and voice notes.
These records are associated with your account and are intended for your personal use within GentleShe.
We do not make your private diary entries, personal photographs or voice notes publicly available to other GentleShe users.
You should only upload information or content that you have the right to use, store or share.
6. Notifications and Reminders
GentleShe may request permission to send notifications relating to features you choose to use, including appointments, vitamins, medication reminders, pregnancy-related activities, postpartum wellbeing and other reminders.
You can manage notification permissions through GentleShe where available and through your device settings.
You may disable notifications at any time. Disabling notifications may prevent certain reminders from appearing on your device.
7. Service Providers
GentleShe relies on trusted technology providers to operate parts of the application and website.
Supabase provides services including account authentication, database infrastructure and file storage.
Resend may be used to deliver transactional emails, including account verification, password-reset and other service-related emails.
The GentleShe website operates using WordPress and web-hosting infrastructure used to make gentleshe.com available online.
These providers may process limited information on our behalf where necessary to provide their services.
We do not authorise service providers to use GentleShe personal information for unrelated purposes.
Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure that service providers handling personal information are subject to appropriate privacy and security obligations.
8. Website Information and Cookies
When you visit gentleshe.com, our web server and hosting infrastructure may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser information, device information, requested pages, timestamps and security logs.
The website may use cookies that are necessary for functions such as WordPress administration, security, preferences or other essential website functionality.
GentleShe does not currently use the mobile application’s private pregnancy or health records for website advertising.
If we introduce website analytics, advertising cookies or other tracking technologies that require additional disclosure or consent, we will update our notices and obtain consent where required.
9. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not make your private health records available to other GentleShe users.
We may disclose limited personal information to service providers where necessary to operate GentleShe.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal requests, protect the security and integrity of GentleShe, investigate fraud or security incidents, or protect the rights and safety of users or others.
If GentleShe or Udovia Technologies Limited is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring or transfer of business assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction where permitted by applicable law. Appropriate notice will be provided where legally required.
We do not sell your personal health information.
10. International Processing and Transfers
GentleShe is available through internet-based infrastructure and uses service providers that may process or store information in countries different from the country where you live.
As a result, personal information may be processed across national borders.
Where applicable data-protection law imposes requirements on international transfers of personal information, we will take appropriate measures to comply with those requirements.
11. Data Retention
We generally retain account information and personal records while your GentleShe account remains active and for as long as the information is reasonably needed to provide the features you use.
When you delete your account, GentleShe initiates deletion of the account and associated personal records in accordance with our deletion processes.
Deleted information may remain temporarily in system backups, security records, technical logs or service-provider systems until those records are overwritten or deleted according to normal operational, security or legal retention processes.
We do not intend to retain personal information longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, legitimate security requirements or applicable legal obligations.
12. Account and Data Deletion
You can initiate permanent account deletion directly from the GentleShe application.
To delete your account:
- Open GentleShe and go to Profile.
- Select Delete Account.
- Read the deletion confirmation.
- Type DELETE when requested and confirm your request.
Account deletion is intended to remove your GentleShe authentication account and associated personal records, subject to information that may need to remain temporarily in backups, security records or where retention is required by law.
If you cannot access your account, you can submit an account deletion request at https://gentleshe.com/delete-account/ or contact support@gentleshe.com.
We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before processing a deletion request submitted outside the application.
13. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on the privacy and data-protection laws that apply to you, you may have rights to request access to personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of eligible information, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, object to or request restriction of certain processing, request a copy of eligible information, and lodge a complaint with an appropriate data-protection authority.

We may request reasonable information to verify your identity before giving access to, changing or deleting personal information.
14. Your Choices and Permissions
You control whether to use many of GentleShe’s optional features.
Where GentleShe requests device permissions, such as notifications, photographs, files or microphone access for a feature you choose to use, you can manage or withdraw those permissions through your device settings.
Withdrawing a permission may prevent the related GentleShe feature from working correctly but does not prevent you from using unrelated features of the application.
Where processing depends on your consent, you may withdraw that consent as permitted by applicable law.
15. Age Requirement and Children’s Privacy
GentleShe is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older.
GentleShe is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly invite individuals under 18 to create GentleShe accounts.
If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a person who is not eligible to use GentleShe under our age requirements, we will take appropriate steps to investigate and delete the information where required.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when GentleShe’s features, technology, service providers, legal requirements or data practices change.

Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, we will provide that notice or request consent before the relevant change takes effect.
